Fast Break of 8 drill

The Fast Break of 8 drill is a way of working the 2-on-2 with pins in bands.
It is dynamic and easy to play. Ideal to work with the change of chip.

Initial layout and description

The exercise is performed with a minimum of 8 players on the track. Ready 4 on the court, ready to start to play the 2×2 and 4 are located in the extensions of the free throw line.

Start the 2-on-2. During the 2-on-2, the attacking players can be supported in players located in the extension of free-kick from the half court you are in. These will be the role of pins (posts repeaters). The 2-on-2 can end up resolving in two different ways:

(A) The attackers mark basket (the defender nearest to catch the ball and pass it to the player in the band closer).
(B) The defenders recover the ball, and pass the ball to the player in the band closest to you.

In both cases, the defenders to take the ball and pass to any of the two players in the prolongation of the free-kick from the half-court in which they are (these will be the new attackers). Meanwhile, the ancient attackers will be in full balance defensive to become the new champions.

Variants

  • Must finish in a specific way:
