1-on-1 Drill – With a Passer

exercise, exercise, basketball, 1x1, 1c1, pin

The 1-on-1 Drill – With a Passer starts with an external passer who initiates the action.
The offensive player receives the ball in motion and must read the defender to attack, finish, or counter.
The drill emphasizes timing, first-step explosiveness, and decision-making based on closeouts or live defense.

Note: it Is very important to emphasize that the player is pin only has that role. A common mistake that some players is to let go and to turn exercise into a 2×1. Always remember that it is a 1×1.

Initial layout and description

Two players, one defending and the other with a ball. The third player can be placed in any of the locations of 5 or open from the back line or band. The player with the ball to start the exercise without (or with) boat and have to give the pass to the pin. The defender defends that first pass. Once given the pass, the attacker without the ball cuts to the hoop and the defender must defend the court to prevent the attacker without the ball you receive it. Once received, must end.
The rotation can be simple and quick-changes that were not resolved with success.
Or you can rotate more long, in which there are double confrontation (played by the attacking player after defender and vice-versa).
In case of a tie, there is a sudden death playing a third 1×1 (win attacker or defender, or one more round).
